To celebrate the spring, we have created a limited-edition Ladybird Afternoon Tea, available from Monday, 4 March to Sunday, 28 April, everyday from 3pm to 5pm.
Inspired by the borough’s green spaces and natural parks, such as Richmond Park and Kew Gardens, the Ladybird Afternoon Tea launches in line with the polka dot bugs most active season following a winter of hibernation. We also hope to also spread awareness of this British species amongst local residents, many of whom will begin to spot them inhabiting the leafy green spaces over the coming months.
The Ladybird afternoon tea is priced from £18.95 and served daily, featuring savoury bites such as truffled chicken brioche roll, marinated cucumber and dill finger sandwiches, smoked salmon on dark rye style bread with cream cheese and chives. A selection of sweet treats are also available including warm fruited scones with Dorset clotted cream and strawberry preserve, chocolate and salted caramel mousse and Crème brûlée doughnut – as well as the Ivy Ladybird Pot with an indulgent chocolate soil topped with lavender cream and ladybird-shaped chocolate treats, providing the ultimate spring time afternoon tea.
To add a touch of sparkle, we will also be serving up a Champagne afternoon tea, including all these sumptuous delights and a glass of Champagne, for £26.50 per person.
Whether looking for a special Mother’s Day treat this March or planning an Easter catch up with friends and family, the limited-edition Ladybird Afternoon Tea is the perfect offering to celebrate the spring at The Ivy Café, Richmond
